Malolos - Clark Railway Project (MCRP) CP N-02

Environment-friendly public transport. All stations to have universal access and intermodal facilities for easy transfer to other modes of public transportation. The project will ease chronic road congestion and spur economic growth in Central Luzon, to serve New Clark City’s estimated future 1.2million population.

Travel time cut from 2-3 hours (by bus) to 1 hour (by train), target maximum rail speed of up to 160 km/hour. Blumentritt to Clark daily
ridership of 81,000 by year 2022 and 342,000 by the year 2025 (as projected). The project will use cutting-edge technology in constructing an elevated railway to minimize disruption and flood risks in communities.

About the Project

The project is part of the 163 km – long North-South Commuter Railway Project (NSCR), of the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Philippine National Railways (PNR) which aims to connect New Clark City (NCC) to Calamba.

Project Overview

NSCR is a flagship project of the government’s “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure development program aimed to reducing traffic congestion in Metro Manila and boosting economic growth.

The Malolos-Clark Railway Project (MCRP) is a proposed 52.4 km-long railway to connect Malolos to Clark economic zone and Clark International Airport (CIA) in Central Luzon, Philippines, which include six (6) stations and one (1) depot.

Project Details

The Malolos - Clark Railway Project (MCRP) is the second section of the Philippine Government’s new railway linking Tutuban in Manila with the International Airport at Clark City Pampanga. CP N-02 consists of the Civil Engineering and Building works for the 15.77km of elevated railway viaduct between Ch. 51+670 and 67+440, with a 2 level station at San Fernando.
